Transcript of sensei's speech:
"
I believe that all the world starts with love and end with love.
I want to conduct life with love.
It's said that kendo starts with a bow and ends with a bow.
We draw a circle at my dojo. Young must respect the elder.
True kendo is not about winning or losing but the importance is raising children in a pure and proper manner.
Moreover, I feel that he most important thing is for them to go out in the world and do something impressive.
That is the basis of kendo.
Kaizen is such an important thing.
It's important to carry on forever and win with effort,
Believe in yourself and better yourself.
That's what's important.
Kendo without love is no good.
It's about building a human.
I will improve and continue with kendo in the future.
I am Hirokata OOTA.
Born October 5th, 1914.
102 years old.
I still have a long way to go with kendo.
"
Thank you for the invaluable life lesson, sensei.
May you rest in peace and love....
