As from midnight of Monday, 17 August 2020, South Africa's Lock down will move to level 2, which will result in many restrictions on businesses being lifted.
Level 2 will also affect our training at the Rivonia Kendo Club (RKC).
Based on the 2 rules of: 1) "All gatherings are limited to a maximum of 50 people"; and 2) "sporting events will be allowed without spectators"; our assumption is that we will be allowed to have more than 8 people train in our LIVE dojo sessions!
STRICT SAFETY PROTOCOLS MUST STILL BE ADHERED TO, which in summary is:
Wear masks at all times;
Sanitize before and after training;
Be screened and have temperature checked before training;
STAY HOME IF FEELING ILL;
Follow all the other safety procedures as detailed in this previous post: https://www.rivoniakendo.co.za/post/rivonia-kendo-club-johannesburg-south-africa-is-ready-to-re-open
Bookings for the live KENDO and/or IAIDO class is still to be done online so as to ensure that the appropriate logistics can be done accordingly. Please be sure to book online here.
Lastly, the plastic men protectors are available for sale. Although not mandatory, it is recommended that each Kendo member in bogu purchase at least 1, so as to ensure an extra safety layer against possible infection of the virus. Please mail us for more info on cost.
Lastly, there will be a new training schedule as from 1 September 2020, so please be sure to check it out!
See you at the dojo soon!
