An exciting offer to keep you warm during the chilly winter:

Purchase a "RKC Dojo Training Voucher" for the introductory offer of R199, and train Kendo, Iaido and/or Jodo at ANY of the RKC Dojos (currently in Rivonia and Observatory, Johannesburg)!

With this voucher, you could train up to 7 times a week (or up to 35 times a month; or for almost 100 hrs) in the various martial arts that the RKC Dojo offers!

Terms and conditions are as follows:

  1. The voucher is valid for 3 months from date of purchase.

  2. The voucher's duration of 1-month of training will commence from the 1st training session that the voucher-holder attends.

  3. After the one month, voucher-holders will be given an option to become a member of the RKC Dojo, and will be billed at the regular membership rates thereafter.

  4. Voucher-holders may attend ALL training session offered by the RKC Dojo, with the exception of the Kendo Kids classes that will be limited to under 12-year-olds only.

  5. This voucher is only valid for NEW prospective members and is not applicable for existing or ex-RKC members.

  6. This voucher can not be used if the voucher-holder had purchased a previous voucher from another campaign (Hyperlil G18, etc...)

  8. Bookings for the 1st training session for either of the arts (Kendo, Iaido , Jodo) is essential and must be done at least 24 hrs in advance before attending. Book by sending an email, together with the voucher, to

  9. Prior to training, a voucher-holder will be required to complete a temporary membership form. Membership will be valid for the duration of the voucher (1 month).

  10. All equipment will will be supplied during the one month of training in the various arts. This equipment is dojo property and MUST not be taken home with you as it must remain at the dojo. Damages to the equipment made by you could incur a cost to repair or replace that piece of equipment.

  11. Training attire is a t-shirt, sweater, sweat pants, sweat towel. No shoes or socks are required when training on the dojo floor.

  12. The appropriate COVID-safety rules must be observed, namely: a) Do not attend training if you are not feeling well; b) wear an appropriate training mask at all times; c) sanitize your hands regularly whilst at the dojo; d) practice appropriate social distancing.


The Ryū Ken Chi (RKC) Dojo train the traditional Japanese martial arts of Kendo and Iaido (sword-based martial arts), as well as Jodo (the art of the short staff), that encourages the cultivation of the human character.

Kendo Kid is also available for children aged 6-11 years old.

RKC DOJO has 2 training venues within Johannesburg - RIVONIA and OBSERVATORY. Online training is also available.
